Do they treat it like your doing an engine convertion on a 1.8 or 1.4 and charge you silly pricesOr do they just leave you as you are and charge the price you where paying before?? Lizard Racing 0
Why dont you claim for a windscreen on the insurance? Normally its only £50 or £60 excess and it doesn't affect your no claims.
Earwig 89
I believe the insurance is mainly based on the Engine of the car.Mark.

Normally its only £50 or £60 excess and it doesn't affect your no claims.Long story tbf mate. Ive got a PG9 notice on my car from the police. Got pulled for speeding then they looked over my tyres, My front too where 1.6mm and one of my rears had a cut in the side wall from rubbing years ago I was about to change the lot over the next few days, very annioin and i had a crack in my windscrean and a fair few chips plus my ABS light was on and no numberplate, rust on archs and a wishbone bush was worn,So they droped the speeding and instead of giving me LOADS of points and me lossing my lience they removed my MOT 3points and a £120 fine, If your not a dickhead then the police can be soundI didn't have the money to do the repairs so the car was taken off the road, My chains and headgauskit needed doing and my rear quater was damaged so i desided while the car was off the road to sort out all the rust smooth replace the quater smooth the engine bay it and give it a respary and rebuild the engine. Then it became winter so i couldnt realy prep it without somwhere dry and to top it off i came to the end of my contract with my job so no money.I did say long story LOL I got my self into a gutted situation tbfSo now im going to reshell it, Ive got a full new set of tyres and polly bushs, chains and headgaukit ectKeep my black VR shell and continue to prep and respary it while i drive the reshell, Then once my black VR is resparyed swap it all back over,I know i know, sounds like alot of messin about but this way im not rusted to do the work and ive got a spare shell if the worse should happen
