VR6Steve 0
Just had a Neuspeed fitted. Can't recommend it enough. Dropped my motorway oil temp from 106-8 to 100-2.Strangely my fuel consumption seems to have improved too????
andy 0
i can only tell you how i did mine m8, just took of top and bottom hose, covering any electrical connections etc, push the bottom hose out so that its pointing down under the car, apply hose pressure for a few mins to top hose. Then reverse (backflush) and re do it forwards till the water runs perfectly clear, repeat as necessary. Always replace coolant with the proper vw stuff, the stuff you find in halfords is not the same.
FishWick 21
Don't bother flushing. Just fit a new one. Genuine Valeo rads from G&SF for around 50 notes. If you're getting 108, consider a Mocal oil cooler. They absolutely rock..... 20 degree oil temp reduction without the need for trick thermostats and water wetter. They use a sandwich plate, so the existing heat exchanger is retained for quick oil warm up and at 80 degrees the stat opens and sends the oil to the cooler.Been using a Mocal in my Corrado for over a year and it reduces oil consumption too. I see an average of 96 degrees in 30 degree summers.
acf8181 0
108...i take it you mean oil temparature? if thats water temp you car could well be in big trouble, it shouldn't go over 95!oil temp is ok as long as it doesn't go over 110...so, although its not deffo high, its pushing it. acf8181 0
well, flushing your coolant isn't likely to change that!i think its fine for it to reach
