MarkGolf 6
I polished the top and front of my gearbox, literally finished that last week, had a loook today, and the thing is already covered in white crap!! I've had polished wheels and other bits and I'd say the wheels ahve been more exposed to the elements, and never got this white stuff! What is it and why has it taken over the gearbox so fast?Im thinking about painting the box black now as I dont want the white stuff being seen as its horride!!Took ages polishing that! Can u get the box laquered? or does it get tooo hot? !ill x) &|

Valver 0
Mark> don't bother with polishing it mate - on a car thats used daily there's no way it'll stay mint. Also, once it's in you'll never be able to keep it polished - it'll be too difficult to reach all the bits........I'd have it painted personally..............
28v6r 0
You can of course polish it as you did then apply 2-3 coats of laquer to the box, making sure all oriffices are sealed before spraying, then apply, remember to wet n' dry after each coat to obtain that shine you want....
