six appeal 53 Posted August 28, 2004 Report Share Posted August 28, 2004 I have 8 x 17's on my VR with 215/40/17 Toyo's on. When it was lowered about 40 mm, I did get a very small amount of rubbing on the rear of mine (although a golf and Jetta's rear arches may differ?)But now have a serious drop on it ( Lot lower than in the sig!)and had to have the rears and the fronts rolled/trimmed and pulled to accomadate them. Still get a very slight rub on the front on full lock, but anyone who's seen the car will tell you its seriously low now!I'm running an et35 on my rims and this is the main thing your going to need to worry about as you'll need adaptors for Merc stuff. I too have been looking at 16" Merc rims to replace my RH's but having a bit of grief getting the offset I want to run.[ Edited Sat Aug 28 2004, 02:25PM ] Link to post Share on other sites
