VR6Steve 0
Drove my car for the first time tonight after having a Neuspeed thermostat fitted (along with new standard fan switches and a coolant flush). Before the work was done on a motorway cruise it ran at 106-108. Tonight driving it the temp did not go above 100 on the motorway. Only when booting the revs up to 5k did it go up briefly to 102.Well impressed.
tandino 1
Have you got a pic of the Neuspeed compared to the stock oe thermostat?? - id be interested to see if there are any obvious differences or is it just a lower temp opening point?Does it have holes drilled in the body of the stat to promote flow even when closed?Pete. VR6Steve 0
No pics sorry, but I don't remember there being lots of holes.Got it from Awesome GTi. If you go the the Neuspeed section, there is a small picture of it on there.

But youre talking about oil temps here right? Cos if you are talking about water temps you have a serious problem!!What effect did it have on the water temps then?Jules[ Edited Wed Aug 25 2004' date= 09:51PM ]
tandino 1
Lower water temps would have a direct relation to oil temps due to the water/oil heat exchanger...Pete.
