Stupid comment ?

Do you think that you can bring yourself to apologise for calling my comments stupid? Surely if i had made those comments about another member i would have been pulled up about it? Your comments will be most graciously received in the spirit of fair play. Dale................. :-(

No it isnt, i just believe that you cant say someone has made a stupid comment without either backing up why it was stupid or allowing the other person to explain their point. Maybe im old fashioned in my beliefs but if i say something to someone and they found it offensive i would apologise and explain why i said it. I think that even if i did think someones comments were stupid i wouldnt say it. There are ways of talking to people and i beleive Mr Craggsy fell below what i would call decent behaviour especially as he is a moderator and other members look to moderators to set an example.......maybe im wrong ......if you feel what im saying makes no sense or my expectations are too high then please let me know................Rule 1: Be polite?................. :S

To be honest mate I think its better for Craig to answer you himself with a private pm rather than air this and try and make him apologise in public. The comments on the other thread got a bit heated but I think Craig was trying to point out that saying " why buy a car that does twice the speed limit" is a "stupid" comment is because 99% of modern cars will all do this - so we don't really have a choice.

But as said above I think this is better shelved and you can chat to Craig on pm and sort anything personal out between the two of you.

Received and understood, i would have no problem with any moderators deleting this thread, my only point to what you said would be that he called my comments stupid in public so why not apologise in public?......that said i dont want any animosity between me and anyone else, after all we are supposed to be enjoying ourselves arent we.................... :-p

again i feel that despite who ever made the comment or thought it was stupid this is pointless, everyone is entitled to an opinion, whatever position they hold.......and to be fair it was a silly comment

the point was made to debate this further in an adult manner, to say someones comments are stupid or silly i think is unhelpful, of course maybe im wrong but there are ways of saying it arent there?.........i thought it was just a debate ...........i will be the first one to apologise for anything ive said or done , and maybe its wrong to expect the same from others............... :-(

I dont think craig meant any offence by it, and the way this is still going on is NOT adult in the slightest, best to just drop it and move on is best bet, as Ben has already said...if you want a written appology? which i cant really see why? then email craggsy, but i cant see how pushing someone into a corner and demanding is gonna get you anywhere for someone posting their thoughts on something? i dont think it was rude or un polite, maybe worth getting out more prehaps .......... having standards and morals is fine but you seem a bit too sensitive,

To be fair that statement is so stupid its unreal.........95% cars will do twice the speed limit seeing as speed limits are set from 20mph thro to 70 mph. So tell me a car that cant do 40mph

To me thats backing up what I say!
