shail 0
I've had to replace my auxillary serpentine belt as my last one shredded when the tensioner pully imploded.I've looked at all the pullys the belt goes round, and the grooves in two of the pullies are worn down to nothing. i THINK the ones are the crankshaft pully and the power steering pully. I am assuming that I will have to replace the worn out pullys? If so how do I go about removing them? Easy / hard / expensive?
VR6Rob 0
most will come off with normal tools but the crankshft pully will need a impact gun to get it off
shail 0
RIght - just in case I'm being an idiot - does anyone think that the pulleys 'appear' smooth as the grooves are filled with melted belt? Also - should I be able to spin the crankshaft pulley by hand? It doesn't seem to want to spin...
Ciaran 4
no the crankshaft pulley will not turn by hand!!!!!!!!I believe the crankshaft and the water pump pulleys should be smooth would need to check though.
Lizard Racing 0
The crank pulley is 7 ribbed. The smooth pulleys are only on A/C compressor and water pump.
