jims13 6
yeah good point about the bee sting, i would replace the rubber if i could fnd one for sensible money. but i cant so it will have to wait for the time being
Toby 0
looks very good indeed, and seems like a decent price too
nivag27 5
Looks very good Mr potter give it a good 3 stage and the finish will stay like that . Nothing like fresh paint work. Hows the family mate good I hope.
jims13 6
im gonna do that gav, a small problem though i think. i have noticed that the new paint is very slightly more purple than the rest of the car is blue if you no what i mean. im hoping it will dull down after a week.. or im gonna have to bite the bullett and get the rest of the car done. i will speak to the spray place first , but it is right noticable in certain lights., and no i can see it , its bugging the crap out of me.ironically i want the boot and two rear quarters sorted after xmas, so it may be worth doing the doors aswell. nivag27 5
What a mare looks like you will have to get the rest done :-p and the littlern
SankysVR6 1
Did you have the rest of the car buffed as well?If not it might be that the car needs going over with some cutting compound to remove the dead paint off the panels that haven't been painted. Sort of like an ex foliation like the ladies do.Meg's 3 stage won't touch it, if your gone be doing it by hand try some G3.Have you got a Porter Cable by any chance or no some local to you that has?
jims13 6
nah, the rest of the car hasnt been mopped, so ill go speak to him..i reckon your right though , its gonna need some g3 on the rest of it. i am still gonna have the rest of the panels done, but money dictates that it wont be for a few months. its the fact that its noticable to me that annoys me though, as when i looked over it yesterday n the dull sky's it was fine, its when you get it in the light you can really see it. xyber 1
Stop it! You and Blondie posting pics of your newly sprayed cars! Mines not going in for 2 months yet! boo hooomystic blue is a bitch to colour match, nearly impossible, i had my badgless grill done and you can see there is more red flake in the mix on that then the rest of the car, when I saw that I knew a full respray would be the only way I could go without anything niggling at me when only selected panels where doneAny idea what type of paint was use on yours?
