New VR6 sharan owner, HELP!

Hi, I have recently purchaced a 1996 sharan VR6 CARAT and I love it! LOL :-p

Apart from ferrying tha kids and dog around I like to have a tickle with the throttle now and again ;)

Have a few questions i was wondering if anyone could shed some light please??

CARAT model- i think they have 6 seats (mine does) but any thing else?

Tuning- It is totaly standard at the moment and i want to tune it, whats the crack? de-cat? chip?

Wheels- I would like to lower (40mm?) and fit 18's but i would like like vw/audi wheels not aftermarket.

Tuning= Decat, exhaust system, Cams, Port/polish big valve head, make it 3.0 with bigger pistions, enlarged polished throttle body, ecu mapping, superchargers, turbos, low ratio gearboxs. Depends on money.

Lowering 40mm should be a simple case of lowering springs.

Good chose in wheels keeping vw/audi, They make copys of them for a 1/3 of the price, mine cost £300 new, vws £1500ish, You can't tell the difference.

Get it lower first. Then wheels, 18" might be too big

my bro was running a galaxy vr6 with the auto box, the box was constantly crapping about, first g/box ecu then it started slipping then not changing gears,

i'd say go along the ordinary obd2 tuning routes of a zorst re-map and filter first then save up and whack a turbo conversion on it for 350+bhp mini bus fun :D
