jellsta 0
looking at a new system, what do you all recomend? looked at both and not too sure. they look the same, slight difference in cost . wheres the best place to buy from? are they an easy DIY fit to the car or does a garage need to do it? many thanks
Toby 0
I've got Milltek on mine and love it. I had a Magnex on a Golf GTI once and would def rate the Milltek over it, but then the VR is a different car. the Milltek I've got fits really well (the guy who fitted it said it was the best fit he's seen for an aftermarket exhaust), and sounds beautiful! stusnook 0
I've got a Magnex cat-back, and it fitted ok. I was a bit disappointed that it wasn't louder. (I've previously had a very loud Remus piped Mk2 Golf Gti, and an even louder Leo Vinci race exhaust on a 600cc motorbike so maybe my expectations were unrealistic). When my wife is driving the VR6 off down the road it does sound nice - it just could do with being a bit louder in my opinion. Toby 0
see I'm not a fan of loud really, but mine's got a nice burble which I love. Depends what you're after I guess
amazak 3
I have a Milltek, it is not loud but sounds great, also it is complimeted by the induction kit, and together they make a perfect partnership. Personally I feel that louder exhausts are for cars that appear to be fast, but the VR really is fast so no need for loud exhausts as the engine sound is what wakes my neighbours up! Good luck. xyber 1
miltek, i was well unimpressed with my magnex, it was quiet and all the welds rusted and blew! Could always treat yourself and get a supersprint!! They sound awesome!! Ive got a powerflow and It sounds just right, and you get it to look and sound how you want
matth76 1
Go for Milltek. Stealth fitted mine and said it was a perfect fit. Sounds awesome when you have a BMC or similar induction kit. Not overly loud... but when you floor it it has an Aston Martin howl. Supposed to be better quality than Magnex. Certainly seems better compared to the Magnex I had on my old car... but the Magnex was still good...just not quite as good a quality in my opinion.
Focker-out 0
Like the rest, Milltek all the way, i replaced my magnex with a milltek as the fit on the magnex was awful, didnt sit right ever
