craggsy 91
Right after the brilliant trip to the 'ring I want to get the handling all sorted so it turns in sharper and generally makes it a better handling car. Tell me what I need to do. I already run Koni Coliovers so tell me what I NEED to buy. Thanks and when we going again?

jims13 6
yeah anti-rolls bars and poly bushes, and a lower front strut brace..top on on the front is mainly cosmetic.. rear ones a good idea though.

VR6Rich 3
anitiroll bars and strut braces front and back' date=' poly bushes allround too.[/quote']Agree with Aswad here, not done the poly bushes yet but got uprated anti roll bars (Eibach) front and rear and both front and rear strut braces. Rear one made a fair bit of difference!Does anybody know if its worth getting the lower front strut brace? What about clearance issues? Would this stiffen it up too much? jims13 6
ive had a lower front strut brace on 3 off my vw's , it was the best handling mod i did, tightend the front end up no end.
rodney 17
Not sure what wheels you're running but in addition to all the above if you're getting serious then you need to look at the tyre size and profiles etc... 16's are meant to be the way forwards for handling! Also tracking cast and camber effect the "attitude" of the car. Overall ride hide effects this as well so whilst there is nothing wrong with the suspension low will improve certain aspects also! Depends how far you want to go! Remember you are trying to stiffen the whole car (to a point) so roll cages help also.So in a simple list!Uprated front and rear ARBPoly bushesStrut braces front and rearWheels and tyresAllignmentride hightRoll cageLook forwards to seeing your next years/months lap times
jims13 6
ah yes good point made by rcf..when i had my full camber / geo check, i got them to dial in about 0.5 deg neg camber , which helps with turn in.your biggest help having seen your car will be the uprateds arb's. polybushes are good but in the overall scheme its the bars you need. make sure everything else is as should be first, i.e all bushes etc up to standard and not perished. craggsy 91
RCF...I'm running 16s as both summer and winter rims so no problem there. My winter rims are 928s which will double up as track wheels and they have 6 dya old P Zeros and they held on very well at the ring. So I will be getting poly bushes and ARBs at same time so should see a marked difference. Then after that will be rear strut brace as people seem to be saying that is a good mod, and i've seen Jims motor in action from close range!!!!!Keep watching this space
