Ciaran 4 Posted April 6, 2007 Report Share Posted April 6, 2007 it's on the right hand side of the engine just behind the coil pack. just under the coil pack plastic cover. circular thing sum sort of pump i believe??if some one gives me a photo of the engine il point it out.just mine was un plugged i plugged it back in and it wines like mad??? Ciaran 4 Posted April 7, 2007 Author Report Share Posted April 7, 2007 well it has been unplugged since i bought the car 2 years ago and never overheated or had any probs. do i need it?? is there not another water pump kind of slotted in the block on the other side run by the serpentine belt?? what is it's point??it was wining like a banshee think it must have a knackered bearing. cabrioman 6 Posted April 7, 2007 Report Share Posted April 7, 2007 u need the other pump ( the unplugged one) to stop the head from disortin and crackin after long runs and after a boot full, it shoudl run for a period of time after the engine has stopped to keep the water flowin around the head to cool it evenly Link to post Share on other sites
