195/40/17 not cheap

195/35/17 very rare

205/40/17 is what most people go for

toyo proxies TS1 or TR-1

can pick them up for 55-65 pounds

not the best tyre but meant to have good grip in wet and dry

i heard they are soft compound which means they will burn down quite quick

should last for 6-7k miles

so miss Blondie what rims did you have in mind?

just checking but your red fire engine is sitting on the floor how are u getting them rims on thats going to be fun and may have to roll them archers

let us know and if poss upload some pics

On a 7.5" Rim you will need a 205/40/17 tyre ;-)

Same as I have on my BBS splits, Also 7.5 Wide.

Mine catch the arches slightly but if your are rolled you will get away with it. Mine are due for rolling soon.

If you want a stretch then go for a 195/40/17. You will not have much of a choice in tyre though. Only about 3 last time I looked and all rather pricey.

Arches rolled so stick to a 205 ;-)

Yeah Hankook where one of the set's that came up when I was looking. Never been fond of them but then again I have never had them.....

The others I think were continental (Again never tried but never liked) andf the others were Pirella which were very expensive. This is mainly the reason I chose 205 rather than a good stretch.

205 gives a slight stretch on a 7.5 rim, just not huge. I would have prefered more but will go more stretchy when I move to a 16" rim :-)

Gonna try and find out what you are doing to your car this sunday Kerry so be warned ;-)
