Andy Mac 1 Posted February 5, 2007 Report Share Posted February 5, 2007 As the title asks I have noticed a small hole in the centre section of my exhaust. It looks like the hole is supposed to be there and something has fallen out of it. The hole is very small and on the right (drivers side) of the system. It also has a rubber gromit in it, does this make sense and does anyone know what this is that has fallen out and where I can get a replacement.Thanks Link to post Share on other sites
purple highline monster 0 Posted February 6, 2007 Report Share Posted February 6, 2007 yep! its some sort of inspection/access hole, its supposed to have a little bolt and washer in it, but they often fall out with age/heat etc, mine was missing too, i just got a guy to stick a blob of weld over it! its been fine for 2 years or more! on a new cat from vw they order the bolt and washer too, its not worth trying to fit it on an old cat as the threads likely to be damaged or rotted out.
