gav_113 0 Posted December 3, 2006 Report Share Posted December 3, 2006 hey peeps!!!i have yet another problem with my car!!the heaters work fine when driving, but when u leave the car ticking over for a while the heaters go cold??? its not til u drive it again that it goes hot again??i checked the pipes going to the heater matrix and one of the pipes is cold? does this mean that there is a blockage in the heater matrix??? Took him a while to find it tho iirc.(the leek that is)I get the same thing tho too gav, can smell the coolant, but can't find a leek! Link to post Share on other sites

Russ_vr6 12 Posted December 5, 2006 Report Share Posted December 5, 2006 could be matey,check coolant temp housing,mine was using coolant for ages but i couldnt find a leak,then i had enough got it in at work and put the pressure tester on it,and it started dripping from the housingmake sure u got the right coolant top on it,should be blue,coz they superseeded over coz there leak like a siev loltry draining the coolant out and stick a hose in one inlet and see if it flows out and through ok lol Link to post Share on other sites
