djbigpete 0
Ive just got some new (second hand) headlights and both of them steamed up in heavy rain and when i washed the car. They have both now cleared but the lenses are now dirty on the inside and could do with a clean. My first question is, how do the lenses come off the lights? I took the four metal clips off top and bottom but couldnt get the lenses off. I would have thought they should come off pretty easily once the clips were off?? and failing this, is there a way of cleaning the inside of the lenses without taking them off? Im probably just being stupid but i dont want to force the lenses and break them. oh and they're mk4 style ones. Ta

SankysVR6 1
You need to heat up the headlight in the oven or using a heatgun around the seal to soften the silicone and gentely prise off.
