Russ_vr6 12
just thought id share what happened to me a lil while backi have a k+n indction kit which prev owner fitted, and the air flow meter is secured to the inlet pipe to the manifold by a dubree clip lol nothin out the ordinary you will say now what was not known to us at the time is with the engine movement the screw head on the clip was gently rubbing against the return fuel pipe from my fuel rail, and adventually rubbed clean through it and i last half a tank of super unleaded in 10 miles whats even more worrying was the pressure of the fuel coming out the pipe was spraying this neat petrol back against my bulkhead approx 4 inches from my exhaust manifold!!!i was lucky in that it didnt splash any on it,and iv replaced the length of hose now and moved the clipi would suggest everyone just checking this as i was lucky,it could have sprayed onto my manifold and thats one situation i really dont wanna think about
Jk* 0
A good word! Lol. You were definately lucky there. Fortunately for me i refitted my MAF, Breather pipe and induction kit and double checked nothing was getting caught up!

Strictly speaking the fuel wouldn't have ignited anyway but if there had been any arcing going on from your HT leads you would've been a gonner........!
