kalv 0
Lowering my Mk3 VR6 by just replacing the standard springs with stiffer ones?I've bought some H&R lowering springs as I want to make the ride look nice and low. When I drive the car I think it needs uprated shocks to help stop the lean over round corners, but as my wife drives the car everyday and she doesn't thrap it round corners or roundabouts is it worth the extra couple of hundred quid?I've already added some Audi TT alloys with Toyo Proxies, and this has improved the looks and handling a touch (well it grips better) and would rather spend my money on an exhaust (currently negotiating a deal on a Scorpion back box [£150]) for aesthetic reasons as those two pea shooters are ridiculous! Thanks. Buzzark 0
As long as you don't go for much of a drop, that's fine.If you drop it much, you'll need shorter shocks or you'll bottom them out and they'll just break - snapping a weld and ramming a steel shaft up through your inner wing isn't pretty! Not sure on what drop needs shorter shocks though, perhaps the kit has some detail on that?
