theotherphil 0
Try cleaning out the idle air control valve. This is the little black box located to the right of the throttle body and will have 2 pipes leading to it. Also think about giving the throttle body a good clean out, especially if the car is mainly used for town driving.
vrPat 0
Do you have a picture of said item Phil? Mine does this on occasion and seeing as I've got a bit of time off I wouldn't mind trying cleaning mine too.Ta mate
simey 0
A good hard thrashing doesn't do any harm!!
Mangold 0
you wanna try cleaning the throttle butterfly aswell as they get bunged up and can stop the butterfly from closing fully. That fixed the same problem for me on my old c/concept. This is especially the case with an induction kit fitted.
speedo 0
What ecu do you have? OBD1 or OBD2? If it`s the later, then reset throttle position.Turn on the ignition from cold ( has to be less than 30`c), first thing in the morning is good, and leave for 2 mins. That should reset it with out the 5051.
