volkswag0nvr6 0 Posted August 22, 2006 Report Share Posted August 22, 2006 hi ppl, just had my mk2 vr6 re-mot today as it failed on emissions. i tryed fitting a catt to bring the emissions down but didn't change anything. its reading around 6 when it needs to be under 3.5 to pass. what can i do to get it down? dellert 0 Posted August 22, 2006 Report Share Posted August 22, 2006 Oxygen sensor? Would check all the sensor to do with the engine ECU. Would need to hook it up to a diagnostic thing though. Failing any fault there, a friend of mine had a same problem on a stinky diesel van, garage recommended he put an additive to the oil, went straight through believe it or not!!
