Many thanks for your reply, i was under the impression that the engine had to come out from underneath, is this a job that can be done on the floor in a home garage? Is there any specialst tools required?

hi, thanks for the welcome car in the garage at the moment, need it back so i can get started on the rusty paint work, 2 wings to replace, tailgate and handle to paint, 2 qtrs and sill, should keep me busy for a while!

Had the car on Diag today and shows knock sensor fault and passenger airbag sensor. Not a big problem apparently.

got the car booked in tomorrow for diag, hopefully not a big issue, always expect to find faults on a used motor, looking forward to getting it sorted, need to get in painted once the gremlins have been sorted. whats the common issues with these cars normally?

Just purchased my first golf v6 4 motion. Car drives really nice. The engine management light came on today after giving it somes beans, is this a common fault and should I expect a big bill?
