Got a price today for the chain and clutch doing, I'm supplying all the bits etc, £450 plus vat, is that a bit much or right?

Not much of a update but I got my jetex fitting kit and the hanger they supply is crap so I made my own with solid bar. Jetex one is black.

Might go for the Sachs kit as I'm not going for silly power

What's the best to use when replacing it as I'm going to be having the gearbox off when timing chain is done, was looking at a Sachs if there any good?

How hard is it to fit a new timing chain as mine is getting loud now, can it be done in a day or is there anywhere round Essex who can do it.

Couple more bits turned up Powerflex exhaust hangers Bottom grill intakes Another gear stick to modify And a new breather filter to replace the pcv valve Just waiting for my fitting kit for the jetex system, hope to get it fitted over the weekend then it's a massive service with new timing chain and maybe some more goodies [emoji1]

Sounds good to me I want to hide as much as possible as I plan on doing a wire tuck and shaved engine bay in the near future [emoji106]

I'll unplug it later, might remove it all next weekend as I want to remove the carbon canister as well, do you know where the clear pipe goes?

Mine ran better last night, I was fitting my new air filter and unplugged it and it ran smooth as any thing, plug it back in then it runs lumpy?

Lol I might just remove mine and put a resistor in it and cable tie it out the way

In the first pic Big J you have the pipe running down and the pipe blanked off, what did you do with the little sensor?

It can be saved my friend when I found it I was so wound up but it's just a bit of rust that can be cut out and welded up, I'm going to fully rebuild mine with new panels etc

Was fitting my new air filter when I stumbled across this. Loads of gunk in the intake pipe which has come from the pcv valve if that's normal, then I found a mesh/spring in the breather pipe which connects to the pcv valve. What's it for and is it needed and can the pcv be removed.
