Another vr6 I'm buying off a mate, it's in very good condition floor is solid and it has a tiny rust hole the size of a 10p on one of the sills, the black one will be stripped and most of the stuff will go onto the new one.
I don't expect it to go quicker it's just that I want to build a bomb proof engine but I can't make my mind up on a turbo or charger, I want to run the engine with the Pistons in so its ready for a turbo etc
Got a water leak and it's dripping from the end of the black plastic pipe at the front of the engine on the right hand side as you look at it, I'm guessing it's the crack pipe that's gone?
Lol I'm just going to save at the mo and get a little van as a run around and make a start on the golf next year, but im hoping to get the welding done sooner.
At some point I will be doing a engine rebuild on my vr with forged rods and Pistons, I'm thinking either charger or turbo etc. Can I run a n/a engine with low/high comp Pistons.
What gains can I get from oversized valves, do I need to change any thing else and what size do i go for, I don't have a clue when it comes to head work and cams, just want to know how it all works and what's the point in bigger valves etc.
