When iam driving down a steep hill for a period of time I start to burn oil pretty badly a lot of blue smoke comes out the exhaust my oil level seems ok so what could it be ? Valve stems ?

can anyone help with this issue my roof trims that run the full length of the roof have seen better days so i priced them up at TPS the left on comes in at £60 and the right one is obsolete and is not available at all so does anyone have any ideas?

Hi folks here is the latest on my badly running corrado well after a week a vw specialist he found it to be the coil pack this was changed and it's now running spot on .....BUT on the way home from the garage stopped to put some fuel in and it refused to restart turning over but nothing else ...!! Well it turns out it's the ignition switch bolloxed so hopefully I can get it changed very soon ....so thank you too all the helpful guys on here much appreciated

It's really over fueling and will not idle apart from that iam pretty pleased with it like I said it's been stood for 10 years so is going to need a little work

When I tested compression it was the top bank of cylinders with lowest compression but only a bit lower than the other 3

Hi mike my car was in a local garage for 2 months and he couldn't fix it he told me the engine was knackerd because it had bad compression I think he was talking bollox he said he changed all the sensors but I don't think he did

Thanks everyone for your help and advise I have taken it to a vw specialist in manchester he has confirmed the engine is fine it's probably an electrical or injector problem and should be sorted soon I will post the problem as soon as I find out

Would just like to update everyone who has helped me on here ,my car was in a garage for 2 months to get the running issue sorted I got it back and was told it had no errors showing on vag com after the crank and cam sensors where changed and another maf did nothing he told me it had compression loss in 2 cylinders I have just completed a test myself and got 10.5 -11.5 bar in 3 cylinders and 12.5 in the other 3 I would say that was acceptable or am I wrong ?

I have just bought a 20 year old corrado which has been stood for 10 years it starts and runs but will not idle 2 cylinders are reading 90 and 60 and it's the 2 left cylinders as you face it there's no smoke no loss of oil or water and no white gunk I've got a feeling it's the gasket but I am a pure novice any ideas ? Also is it a wise move to keep running to maybe free it up ? Cheers mike
