  2. found this in my cupboard the other day.... a nice 1.2L washer jet bottle with a 1 way pump, must of been for the mk2 i was going to smooth out the bay, it looks small enough to tuck under the scuttle pannel.... a job to do after i have sorted out why the car wont fire after i have extended the wires!! bugger!!!!!
  3. just a thought, if i have NO spark and NO fuel getting to the engine, could this be relay or fuse related rather than getting a wire mixed?
  4. I personally think, with using T3 turbo as used on the ford cosworths, i could quite easily build a turbo'd VR for about 1k.... maybe less..... i'm gonna staqrt to get bits together and collecting to build. Also it would be the same as supercharging, run a standard ecu, injecters low boost until i can get enough to get megasquirt etc.... let the challenge begin.
  5. No spark and no fuel My mate has an AAA engine project and has a spare engine ecu fusebox loom sp now i can sit there and follow wire for wire what goes where Fingers crossed problem solved
  6. Well see in as I totally fubard up yesterday I thought it needed a fresh look in the bay, Now my plan is to go semi smooth bay, loose the battery loose the header tank and possibly loose the washer bottle. Not sure yet if I wanna go that far as the intention was just to loose the wires as a flipping hate see in wires in a bay - pet hates n all that!! So, I ordered some satin sand military paint - hammerite pretty much. And put a coat on to see how it looks. Now this is a first coat without and wet flatting, I plan on puttin on about 3 coats with a 1500 wet flat between them to try and loose t
  7. Done lol. Problem is, I cut the ecru loom and engine plug loom the same time. And had a fewvsets of 2 wires everywhere blue red black green etc. Could proberbly be a simple fix, but I think it would be easier to just get a new loom and do it 1x1 Plus just found out my engine is a AAA so I bet knowin my luck them looms are like hens teeth!!
  8. well it cranks n cranks but doesnt smell of fuel..... possibly fuel pump aint priming then?
  9. yup. think i may just buy anoher loom and boll0xs it all off..... least i know what to do for next time..... all a learning curve......
  10. yup turned it off and on, disconnected the ecu and battery plugged it all back in.... nothing. possibly thinking of purchasing another loom!
  11. ha, well today i decided to lengthen the loom. engine plug ecu etc and now the car wont start.... it cranks n cranks but no fire..... so i had to chop the ecu plug, and engine loom plug to get the loom through the hole i had cut to hide it in the scuttle pannel... but i extended the loom etc and plugged it all up but now it just cranks n cranks but nothing. i have checked all the right color leeds go to the right ones etc and thats all correct... i then got my multi meter out and checked the engine plug to see if it was all getttin power and again. all the wiries on the engine plug was gettin
