  1. As above, but watch the insurance. I'm sure there is some small print on most policy's that states that the car has to be taxed and mot'd for the insurance to be valid. Could be wrong but worth checking out.

    I've got a masontech copy one on my mk2. Had to weld two captive nuts in the subframe at the back and drilled and fitted riv-nuts in the front cross member.
  5. Try to get to shows but my mate in the pics above is a rally driver in the scottish forest championship and I drive the service van. Last year most of the shows fell on rally weekends. Will be trying to get to a few though this year.

  7. Hi all, just signed up and thought I'd post up a wee thread about my mk2 so far. She started life as a humble 8v gti and fell into my ownership for the tidy sum of £840.00 Drove 5 hours each way to the outskirts of Nottingham and came home with this. A week later on a drunken night out I was trapped in between two cars and left with my right leg broken clean through in three places. As work was a no no and I had just bought my first flat I wasn't able to do all I wanted to the car but with some help from mates and some well placed hand me downs I managed to get the car looking fairly dece
