    excellent going to give it a go friday i just hope this is the problem i have,i read about dry tappets but oil has been done according to the guy i got the car off and to be honiest ran ok up until the blast on the motorway,thanks for the help guys il drop a update after its done

    i drove 80 miles in the vr today and on the way back i have this noise you describe coming from around the air filter area the car sounds fine when idle just when i rev up it makes a noise,i dont really want to tackle this job how much would a garage charge roughly guys cheers

    ok not yet got the new sensors but today my temp reached 110 and i had to pull over and cool off this is the first time the car has got so hot, is there any known reason for this happening,basically it seems nothing is cooling the engine down whilst its moving temp only drops when turned off

    take the car somewere else,i took mine in last week but before getting it inspected i told the bloke about the decat and i said its pointless giving you any money if the emissions will fail,he said dont worrie i can alter the emissions to suit the decat legally and the outcome was a pass and in most cases a decat will pass anyway if the engines sweet,you need to find a suitable inspection mot bloke who does his job properly and does mots only not quotes and repairs hense you get a honiest opion and hes not out to rip you off,you will find someone mate dont bother messing with cats

    car shakes slighty when idle should i just change the lambda?it recently passed the mot last week iv just got a bad feeling about the labmda plus it poped up on vag as lambda short to ground.cheers guys

    cant take no more noise from the fans constantly on whilst i am driving the car today was bad i spent a hour driving around and they never shut up from the moment they kicked in,has anyone got anymore solutions why this is happening before i book it in at vw at a heavy price no dout

    dfernate faulty pump i had same prob and replaced it it with sucesss,im guessing you bought another faulty one second hand or maybe wrong part number

    i have just noticed my drivers side doar light as stoped working combined with interior light which doesnt come on,passenger side works fine and interior light works when doar opens any ideas what this could be guys cheers

    ok thanks so as i mentioned the green wire which is broke amongst the oil sensors will i still get a reading and when i do at what temp shud i start to worrie and would there be a solution for high oil temps ,cheers

    probly daft question but were do i look to get oil temp reading as well?

    ah ye one of mine is broke the spade as snaped clean off its the one with the green wire the other 2 below it are conected its like a triangle effect yes? shud i be worried cheers guys

    cheers i will pick one up, i wernt going to bother as the aux water pump is ok but looks like the pin for the fans may of had it

    is this the buzzing noise that lasts for about 10 seconds then goes off after turning the ignition on? i thought this was normal hope so anyway mine does it?

    oh i forgot to mention as well i have no after run fans when ignition is switched off,that does concern me, does any one know what that could be

    lmao same as mine but did yours ever turn off once they started thats the only thing bugging me,cant hear that sweet vr sound with the jets included lol

    update,aux water pump is working i have now tried testing the fans via the rad sensor conector and jumpering with a piece of wire i cant get nothing from speed 1 and speed 2 still nothing just a clicking sound coming from the fan module,stage3 does work and kicks in when temp gets to 90,can anyone shed some light on this please,

    all will become clear when chief uploads the pic for you,i used 3 bottles of G12++ from main dealers 4.5 ltrs in total then top up the rest with water youll get 3 bottles for £20 mate

    its perfectly normal that your temp reaches half way 90 you would only have a problem if it went past 90,also check the bleed screw on the crack pipe i recently fitted a new one and after filling the system i had a drip from the bleed screw simple job you just need a big flat head and nip it up,in fact goin of the performance you have had with the garage i would re bleed whilst your under the car

    hi just wondering if the fan module is coked would i still get any of the 3 spreeds on the rad fans? i am curious as i havent herd my aux water pump for a while now. cheers

    i have done all the work on my car myself thanks to you lot on here so this next problem i will get around hopefully,driving the car at 90 degrees fans kick in loud and wont turn off but more scarier temp never drops below 90 so i suppose you cant blame um for kickin off,secondly is it possible for the main water pump to pack in without leaking water,iv got a bad feeling water aint circulating properly hoses have preasure etc,i know these engines get hot but surely the fans aint ment to blast all day long when driving?,cheers guys

    do the boil in the pan test with your new thermostat i recently changed my housing and the new termo that came with it was faulty i had to strip it all back down again,wernt happy
