Hi there , I've had a problem with my 4 mo central locking for over a year , I had to lock/unlock the car with the key and put the key in the ignition to stop the alarm going off , vw garage had it for 4 hours and couldn't solve it in the end they said I needed a new coms unit at about £700 fitted , I couldn't afford or justify that money on remote central locking , I found a post on another forum which read some car stereo adapters send a feed back to the ignition barrel making the car think a key is in so remote central locking wont work ! I removed my stereo and adapter block and the remote locking works , I couldn't believe it I Evan plugged it back in to double check it I don understand how vw couldn't find this , so wip your stereo out and any adapters and see if that works Hope it helps
Not bin on here for ages , still got my 4 mo , this is so nice and easy to use , I've got lots of posts to catch up on though also changed my email so I will now get them coming through
