  1. just been scanning youtube and it seems theres a cheaper alternative to an off the shelf supercharger kit (which the cheapest ive seen is £2000), some people have been fitting superchargers from cars like mini cooper S's etc. the Eaton M45 supercharger, ive read that people say these are too small but are they? (others are M90's etc) obviously they probly take abit of work to get fitted but when i can get hold of a good condition charger for £250 its WAY more within my budget and to be 100% honest i only want 240bhp ish. what you think?
  2. also just seen this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/short-intake-manifold-twin-turbo-VR6-12v-2-8-2-9L-cast-/270580871151?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3effe06fef anybody used one of these?
  3. I have just read that a 2.9 corrado throttle body won't fit on a obd2 golf vr6 (i'm 99% sure the vr6 im having is obd2), is it still worth fitting a 2.9 inlet manifold to a obd2 I can pick up a 2.9 inlet for around £40 and I know it's not a massive job to fit but was just wondering if it's worth it? thanks
  4. Hi all when I pick up my vr6 I will hopefully be fitting a decat very soon after - I remember having abit of trouble on previous cars with the lamba sensor, from the looks of it the vr6 is the same. I mean that by fitting a decat ill have to refit the lamba sensor into the decat pipe (i've never managed to remove a lamba sensor from an original exhaust without it braking) should I buy a new lamba sensor aswell as a decat or is there any trick to removing original ones? any help is appreciated.
  5. it'll be everyday car and need all the seats. I'll just have to have a proper look when I get the vr6 (given mate a deposit but havnt got the car yet) the civic seemed full of pointless heavy bits lol
  6. Right after owning an old 1.6 civic which had great power but no torque (180bhp & 117lbs/ft) I soon learnt the best way to go alittle faster after getting my bhp up was to put the car on a diet - I found loads of pointless heavy bits I could remove and ended up saving 80kg! (and acheived consistant 14.5 1/4 miles at Santa Pod) What are the best things to remove on a VR6 Golf? I'll be removing the spare wheel and boot trim, was thinking of removing some of the sound deadening- anything else anyone would recommend?
