Im sure 70 percent of the people here break the speed limit on motorways. I was having some fun and letting some steam off. like i said once a month. go buy a mini.
  7. I thought id take me mk2 vr out today for a spin. Coming round a roundabout i noticed a vxr, with 2 passengers both pointing at my car and laughing. Im sure they was screaming 1.8 and mocking my vw. The cocky driver slowed down to a near holt and waved me on as if to say have a nice lead m8, cause im gonna come screaming past you. UNLUCKY m8, i must have got a 2 sec start he reallised it wasnt a 1.8. By the end of the straight i was 50 metres away easy, not only did i keep ahead, i actually gained on him. What a fun day.And there faces when i was at the red light at the end, was priceless. t
  8. Hi guys i really need some advice. basically i am ordering a chip for my vr6 mk2.i was told my car was a 2.9 corrado conversion. Looking into it my thrpttle body is obd1. it also says 2.8 on the logbook. i went to give the guy my ecu number which is 021906258AG. and he tells me thats the abv engine code. im so confused.Any help would be much appreciated, as you all no im mechanically and technicaly retarded, and i cant spell lol.
  9. mines got a few things done to it and is def a good mk2 vr. does anyone no what a mk2 vr will do 0-60 in. iv smashed clio cups off the line so im pretty sure a mk1 gti is gnna struggle to match it. looked at there 0-60 times of over 8 secs a mk2 vr must be 6.5 if not less. the mk3 does it in 7 i believe. mine is stripped out. could a mk1 gti really give me tht much hassle?

  11. Hi guys i no this going to seem a silly question, or at least i hope it does. I have a mk2 vr6 and my mate thinks his mk1 gti is quicker. Im going to be sttling it soon, but just wanted a heads up as to what the outcome is likely to be. Im pretty sure hes going to be eating dust.

  13. what do you make of this turbo kit http://www.cxracing.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=CXR&Product_Code=TRB-KIT-VW-GTI-VR6-12V-IC-KIT i have 1200 quid saved and need a turbo or supercharger. this just seems a bit cheap for a turbo.
  14. i had to extend my decat pipe and cut and weld the flange on. well my mechanic did lol. wrapping it in heat wrap was easy. fitting didnt take that long. looked easy enough. if you have a mk3 it obviously wont need any cuttin and weldin. its cus i have a gti exhaust and vr 6 branch. well worth having it done. sounds lovely.

Il try get my car on a rolling road to see if it actually does make a diff from bhp wise. and if it doesnt il hold my hands up. iv got broad shoulders i can take it lol.

  20. I didnt say it worked by creating boost, course its not gonna force air in.read what i put above and stop taking acid. guys dont buy 1, i only said it cus i got improvemens off it. Was just tryin to help. Wasnt worth the effort tbh was it. def not worth me arguing trying to defend it.

I could put links up that show people that have had good results ben, that link means nothin. 1 of them hgas fitted it to a diesel whichthey dont even work on. hardly a good source of info hey. what about pro drives dyno results, and the rest of the independent companies that have tested it. It might be simple but it works. But you no better cause you tried it.
  23. Lol in my own experiance it works m8. im not gonna big it up if it doesnt. why would i?. in bens experiance it doesnt work. even though hes not even fitted 1 lol. Iv also heard stealth install them. might ot be true. And evry1 that i no with performance cars has installed them and saw a small but worthwhile power increase in acceleration more so.
