  1. Ahh crap, I've ordered a 4 wire sensor and that ones a 2 wire
  2. Any clue on the temp sensor is it one of the three sensors positioned at the front right of the head? I'm guessing its the right hand 4 wire sensor but theres also a 4 wire one to the left too.

  5. So as expected I got the same thing again this morning so I've ordered a new cam sensor and a temp sensor as i've been told they can cause issues as well. Only £69 for both sensors from VW so worth changing just for piece of mind. Anyone got a pic of the two sensors in situe that they can put up?
  6. where abouts is the cam sensor positioned?
  7. Plugs and leads are brand new, I have checked the coil pack and it looks in good condition although I have not removed it, where abouts do they crack? I changed the MAF late last year with OE part too so cant be that. I've heard of problems with Crank sensors on these, would this give me a similar fault?
  8. Hey guys my search for answers has brought me here so I hope I need look no further. I have a 1997 VR6 mk3 golf which i've owned for about a year. I recently (3 months ago) had the plugs and leads changed due to a missfiring issue which sempt to clear the problem untill yesterday. Yesterday morning I came to start the car to be met with it just turning over. I stopped and then tried again and it fired up but was running very lumpy as though it was running on just 4 cylinders. I reved the car and at higher revs it was alot smoother but as soon as I came off the throttle very lummpy again. I dec
