  1. that sounds like a good idea, and a great excuse to get some new wheels.....not sure the other half would agree, but its MY car!!
  2. ha ha. i would love to go the whole hog with the car, but i think im just gonna get it to the point where it'll last me the next few years at least.
  3. pull the arches? as in, make them wider to enable FAT hoopage!?? or did you mean something else?
  4. i have been driving like a duffer!!! having said that i still give it some beans on the blacktop! ha ha. Are the vr's like ballistic missiles when they are charged?? them seem pretty quick in standard form.
  5. Hiya guys and gals! One thing i have learnt since i had my vr6, is how to drive economically! the first week i think i was a little heavy footed, and only managed 210miles to a full tank!! this week i managed to get 39mpg and the fuel consumption is loads better! in fact i have just clocked 240miles and im still just over quarter of a tank! i have had some thirsy cars in my time,...my old skyline gtr was bad BUT this vr6 has the potential to be a right guzzler, BUT, that noise it makes after 5000rpm, makes it all the more addictive to drive, it is the most exciting car i have owned. Glad i
  6. Hi guys, i just wondered if i could pick yer grey matter?? i was debating taking off the plastic arch trims off my vr, as most members have said its a great improvement, so i made the decision to have a butchers. When i took the rear ones off i also pulled away my arches!!! Yeah you heard right, they actually came away when i lightly tugged on the plastic. the rot is quit extensive, but is only up to the the height of the plastic trim......SO, i managed to get the trims back on and now you cant see the rot. My question is, do i cut the rot away, rust treat the affected area then waxyoil the
  7. they do look better without the arch extensions. im abit scared to take mine off in case i find more rust than i anticipated, but i suppose its gotta be done!
  8. Must be a dusty mover thing, found my sills had a couple of holes in yesterday. Oops. Luckily enough a mate of mine is going to sort it out for me. What areas of body work are tatty mate? Well i had to have a new boot door, as it was rotted thru behind the number plate, and that wasn't resprayed quite in the same color, so that'll be addressed at a later date, the rear arches need sorting as there is rust under the plastic extensions, and the sill too, but they'll rust treated and undersealed, and if there is any welding needed, that'll be done too. Other than that, its isn't too bad really,
  9. Cheers bud, yeah its dusty mauve, it is pretty tidy, but there is a few things i really need to sort out asap.....rust under the rear arches, and a wet floor inside!! i think the wet floor has just come around because the sunroof drains are blocked.
