loud exhaust and vibration at idle
jscaml replied to jscaml's topic in Engine Maintenance and Problems
Thanks for the replys guys, but the thing i didnt make clear before is the exhaust is louder at the end of the tailpipe. I cant hear or see any leaks along the system. Is it likely its still just a really small hole in the exhaust or could it be summit else? Btw the vibration is bad at idle and acceleration but when engine braking it goes completly -
driving along the a46 today at a healthy ton, the vr all of a sudden sounded different. it got a deeper note from the exhaust naturally i slowed down a bit but nothing else seemed wrong as i tried to accelerate again it feels low on power and when im stopped at lights etc. i can feel the steering wheel vibrating. bit worried cuz im workin 7 days a week at the mo so cant really get to a garage. any1 got any good ideas what this might be?

jscaml replied to VR6Wherry's topic in Wheels, Brakes, Suspension and Steering
don't know how good they are but JOM do stupidly cheap coilovers -
just sprayed and fitted two new front wings so definatly don't want to be doing that, I used 15psi worked fine.

definatley I might do the brakes with it next, the fluid I got out the clutch looked like treacle so probly for the best.

okay guys, just tried to bleed my clutch it was working alright except the pedal didn't always return to the top of it's travel, I had a new slave cylinder and clutch about 6 months ago and was told that somtimes that that happens and it just needed rebleeding. But now i've tried to bleed the pedal only comes back up a couple of inches and i can't engage gears what have I done wrong? was using an visibleed with a 1 way valve on the end and getting missus to press pedal while I opened and closed the bleed nipple. Any ideas welcome tah.

Just got some new headlights from gsf, but they take a different sidelight bulb than the standerd ones the main plug in the back of them fits and they look like they should fit in the car fine. Any idea's why this is and if it would cause a problem? Cheers
