The engine doesn't feel smooth, if you know what i mean

On my way home this evening, and the VR starts to 'judder' at about 60-70 @ 3000rpm, it accelerates good, but judders when cruising. It stopped for a while then came back. Anyone throw some light my way? Thanks, Paul

Thanks goth. Turns out it was a linkage that went bang, so i'm only £40 out of pocket, so i'm pleased!

I was going out to get fuel, pulled off in 1st, into second, when i felt something go, and it now only pulls in 3rd and 4th with no 1st, 2nd or reverse. the gear lever feels like it's in neutral when i push it forward (into 1st/3rd/5th) or back (into 2nd/4th).

Ok got the car back today. Problem was an aftermarket immobiliser had been fitted, and was buggered. They ripped it out and it's fixed!! NEW PROBLEM! My car on occasion won't start, or whilst driving will cut out. It will start after turning over a few times, and drive like nothings wrong. I have taken it into my local VW garage, and they have hooked it up to the diagnostics, and changed the crank sensor (the only fault showing), but after swapping the sensor, the car still won't start, but by the time they have run diagnostics on it to find the fault, it starts again, showing no faults. Can anyone throw some light onto it? Cheers

I'm looking to swap out the 'bendy' rear spoiler for a hard one, as i use a rear mounted cycle rack which when fixed to the car makes the spoiler bend downwards, which means the wiper blade catches on the spoiler. Does anyone know anywhere i can find an original looking, but hard spoiler? Thanks

Thanks for the quick response! The mains and highs work fine, are the halos wired separate or on the loom? i'll check the fuses now.

Hi, I just picked up a mk3 Golf VR6 yesterday, and it has Hella angel eyes clusters on the front, but the drivers side 'halos' dont work, i'm guessing its a wiring problem, as they run led's right? Could anyone throw some light onto the problem? Cheers, Paul
