Sounds good to me.

Try cleaning your throttle body with carb cleaner and a tooth brush. If it looks pretty bad then have a look at your breather aswell and flush that through.
-
Another consideration is in stock form they are pretty good on fuel but obviously that goes out the window with tuning.
-
Does anyone fancy meeting up soon maybe Sunday or sometime next week?
-
That red one is seriously smooth

All depends on what you prefer, I went for the 4 motion for the traction when I get it charged. They are heavy though and not permanent 4wd. They are front wheel drive with a Haldex clutch engaging the rear wheels when needed. Awesome grip especially in the wet. Have you had a good look round one. have a go in mine.

Well today I got my service items ie oil and filter for my Haldex clutch. I had to order the filter removal tool as the filter is in an almost impossible place to reach. All items are available from GSF. So here is what you'll need:
1. Haldex filter built into the cap
2. Haldex oil which comes in a 275ml cartridge
3. Removal tool or improvise your own, alot easier with the correct tool
4. 5mm and 6mm allen keys
When you remove the drain plug with the 5mm allen key the oil free flows but it is advised to pre-warm which can be done by driving first.
The filter cap is hidden away and hard to get to, hence the specialist tool.
The tell tale plug is undone by a 6mm allen key. Oil issuing from here shows when the oil is at the correct level. The tolerance for oil level is up to 3mm below this hole.
When I dropped the oil out of mine it was pretty grim, so I flushed with one cartridge and then refilled with another.
A bit extravagant I know but my service history showed it missed its last oil change so it can't hurt. This was possibly due to some confusion by service managers on the periodocity of service where it changed from oil and filter every 40k to oil every 20k, with filter every 40k.

I have mate and done the Haldex service today and taken some photo's as it's not that straight forward.

I'm quite restricted on choice for off the shelf exhausts for the 4 mo but I do like Miltek and they have the 2 variants, resonated and non resonated. With the additional centre box i'm guessing motorway cruising will be better but the other side of me says go straight through and blast away. Any thoughts and help would be appreciated. I'm going to order this soon.

I've just read this from start to finish and look forward to future updates. Car looks well Nat.

I've ordered filter, oil and tool to service my Haldex. I'll take some photo's and do a little write up as it looks a bit of a nightmare to do.
-
Why not buy a 4 motion in the first place?
-
I'll have room for one.
-
I'll go with the timings to suit all.
-
That made me chuckle

It might be worth booking the ferry early even if I might loose out by not being able to go.
-
When are you guys booking things up like ferries and such? I'll need to check where the ship is when this is on. Would love to come along though.
-
Nice look you got going there and a vr lump would top it off.
-
I've had older performance cars on daily insurance before. I'll try and did out a link.
-
I'm sure Jake will have some information on this and be along soon

I was curious as to how the Haldex system actually worked and the whole drive train. Thought this was a good link for anyone else curious too. Sorry if it's pointless.
-
I use chemical guys wheel guard and this does the same. Brake dust rinses off with the hose.

All sounds good, kadence braking and the magic boost button and the squeal of tyres. I'm getting all excited.
