    thanks for that kie, the car is back running now:) quite impressed that it only took 5 days from breaking the box, to get rebuilt and the car put back together, chuffed to have my toy back gti spring on the 29th will be the cars first 1/4 runs. i hope you can bring your car too kie.

    what a shame man, thats a lovley looking car and colour. chin up ive had a new vrt for less than a couple of weeks and had a punture on first day 200 miles from home,keyed the first night i had it, and broke the gearbox and spent £1600 in two weeks. if we didnt love vr`s............ but WE DO

    gearbox broke (well, i broke it). new front discks,pads. (£92 for front pads aaaaahhhhhh!!!!). driveshaft,hub engine in,out.shake it all about. the tears have stopped now, and im over the invoice so i will be at spring gti getting my first 1/4 time in the new car. here`s a good one for all car owners. i was at the rayliegh go kart track in essex,seeing a friend who own`s it. and next door is a lazer quazar shootem up place. after only ten mins i came back to open my car,the alarm did not work ???? first time in 4 years ??? then i smelt smoke, then i thought i would

    sounds like you have a little more power than you think,maybe some internals where done, i drive my standard vr6 hard and only at the top end of revs does it spin. you could give my turbo vr a race

    i was planning on keeping just for a year,but it has got me allready,i think i will keep it for longer. taking the gearbox out tonight, trying to source a quaife gear set as cheap as possible. i know that it will happen again and again so just going to go for straight cut quaife gears. might have to come to gti with a standard box so not too sure about ragging it hard. any help appreciated with gear set

    i just became a full member of the turbo club today, i broke 3rd gear and mash up the box. does anyone know of a strong gearbox,the likes of quaife or such FOR SALE ?? plus i had to drive on about a mile to my friends, how much damage would have been done to the quaife lsd attatched ?? was booked in for new disks and pads ( £390 grrr ) for the front tommorow,but it seems fixing the box and getting it running properly again will come first. pod on the 29th is my target i can only pray. just a quick rundown on the cars luck. got a puncture on the m6 on the first day(im f
