where is the thermostat under the hood of me golf vr6, i need to take it off also is it hard to remove?

i was worried of a head gasket problem.

i'll try an oil change, it does seem to go through oil pretty quick, i did try and give it an oil change a few weeks ago but for all my trying, could i get the filter off no! so any tips there would go down well, thanks

yeah they cut in and also after when i park they are on for a lot longer than usuall

my vr6 usually runs at 90 degrees but over the past 3 days it has been nearly 110 degrees, i was putting it down to the heat we have been having nut i just been out in it now and it is doing the same, and it is now a lot colder out there. the temp never gets higher than that but im just wondering if any of you knows why all of a sudden it has started to do it?

i read somewhere on here about service codes on dash when i turn ignition key, so i checked mine and it has got in02 flashing, what does that mean, also are there any other codes that may come up in future that i may need to know the meaning of, cheers.
