  1. Back to subject lol I had a golf vr last year that I got to 207bhp. I loved it then stupidly swapped it for a mint escort rs turbo. A few weeks ago I was offered a corrado vr6 from a friend and snapped it up! I feel I'm in a good position to comment Firstly, build quality isn't such a big issue, there's no major squeaks, rattles etc, if it's been looked after there's no difference. Secondly, while driving the rado there's that special feeling you get when your in something exclusive. I get the same feeling in my s13 200sx but never got it in the golf. Finally, speed, handling etc is negligibl
  2. Hi everyone, my vr needs some bodywork and at some point its been re-sprayed in a new colour. I think its storm grey but has anyone got any other opinions? [ sorry to add so many pics but wanted to show it on different angles/light conditions Many thanks for any help
  3. Hello all, what with all the questions that get asked about smoothed bumpers i wonder why no-one has mentioned these before (unless they have) http://www.madmotors.co.uk/catalog/dietrich-golf-cleanstyle-front-bumper-p-20422.html I doubt the quality is amazing but for convenience etc they've gotta be worth a go what does everyone think?
  4. Every boys dream pet, running between 350-400bhp im guessing lol
  5. a couple of pics from the journey to ultimate dubs and also my rolling road printout its going to be my main car from the end of the month so should be lots more progress soon
  6. i heard somewhere lowering your tyre pressures was a bad idea as your tyres get maximum grip at recomended pressure? not sure whether its true or not but i know the swedish lower their pressures in bad conditions
  7. lol did the wipers immediatly lol got some aero ones now and the washer jets im gonna get a few things from a scrappy or the stealership to tidy it up a bit
  8. 97 obd2 golf de-cat unknown backbox silencer replacement pipe pipercross air filter 207bhp @ 5600rpm 203lbft @ 4600rpm after seeing this i think it may have had cams fitted as well but no lumpy idle etc
  9. grey lol looks better in person though
  10. had it on a dyno the other day and its at 207bhp with just filter and exhaust, im really pleased with that
  11. i had this on my vr the other day got really worried about tappets, timing chains etc so last night let it warm up fully and its sorted it as said above if its still noisy once warmed up try the oil filter. also if its any help my noise was coming from the drivers side of the engine not the chains side
  12. dunno if anyone knows but is the whining the synchro system working or is it just the belts, engine etc
