  1. Hi Does anyone in the sussex area have VAG COM? I changed teh ABS motor on my car and tried to bleed my brakes manually. I then read that you have to do it on VAG COm. Is this correct? I can't get a decent pedal. Also my warning light didn't go out but could this be that it needs reseting first. Thanks Matt
  2. Thanks very much. I have seen a few pumps with the same part number but different letter. I do like this site.
  3. I am seriously struggling to find a second hand or refurbished ABS pump and ECU for my car. It's part number is 1H2 614 217 C. Has this part been supercedeed by any other parts? Cheers Matt

  13. Is it for a 5 door? I haveno idea what it was worth new so maybe a guide as i'd hate to offend. How does it fit? Is it likely to scratch at all?
  14. Does anyone know if a roof rack is available for a 5 door mk3 vr with a sunroof? (don't know why that makes any difference but according to the Thule website it does.
  15. I know they say you should never buy the first car you go to see but I was so lucky. I brought mine (With a bit of very humorous haggling) off of purple highline monster. As soon as I saw it I loved it and knew it was gonna be good. I was lucky but defo agree that buying off of this site can only be a good thing.
  16. I have a massive long 50 road near me and this appears to be the best place to get maximum mpg's. It was very boring driving like that though.
  17. My VR is near enough totally standard (Nick, Purple highline monster's old one) and I love it like that. It sounds nicee and runs fantastically. It's fast and if driven carefully can be economical. If I were to start putting induction kits and the likes on to her, would I loose that reliability and smooth running? I have heard stories about the MAF (I think) sensor messing up. (SN)
  18. If they aren't to tight you maybe able to cut a gouge in them big enough to undo with a flat bladed screw driver.
  19. I only ask as I had a reading of 37.5 mpg the other day. Thought that was bloody good even though I had to drive like an old lady to get it.
  20. Sorry having a daft moment about the name of it, but can anyone tell me how reliable these readings are?
  21. Is anyone going to No-Rice tonight at Guildford?
