My rad fan stop working so had a look to see what the problem was. The fan has 2 speeds and found out the 1st speed was not working so i bi passed it to the 2nd speed just for temporarily. The car does not overheat anymore and the fan kicks in now and then. But iv noticed when im on the move most of the time the car is running just above 70C. Just need to know if its right to run at this temp?

My vr had been in for a service iv replaced the chains and tensioners also upgraded to kent 268 cams. How many miles will it take for the cams to be bedded in? After a full service plus a new clutch is tempting putting your foot down.

If im buying a used supercharger for my vr.....what info or things do i need to look out for. Miles?, service? bearing? ect

For some reason my fan doesnt kick in anymore. I waited till the temp went up to 90, nothing happened. Iv replace the fan switch and tested the fan with a direct supply from the battery and works fine. Its never been the same since it came out of the bodyshop garage. I know they disconnected some cables from the rad whilts removing the slam panel. Iv taken it back there but they denied everything. Anyone got a wiring diagram how it should be connected? Also its a 3 pin fan. Appreciate your help

Completed the conversion 2months ago and now the car is on the road. Everything is fine apart from the ideling. On few occasion the vr has idled very low and conked out. Whilst im letting the car warm up it idles normal at 1k then drops quickly comes back up just in time before it conks out. Could this be the idle control valve? Appreciate your help

My relay switch keeps on clicking as i switch the ignition on. It doesnt smell too good too, seems like its burning. Iv replace the relay (no. 24) and im still getting the same problem. The windows do go up and down as i switch them. It has a positive and earth feed to the relay. Anyone got a wiring diagram? appreciate your help.

Just wanted to know if the VR clocks from a corrado 2.9 can fit the loom from mk3 VR6. Are the terminals the same?

Iv got till summer to do it, so iv got a while. Iv got set of 268 cams so i might as well throw them in when i get the head done.

Ah ok....id rather replace the head instead of changing the whole engine. Anyone know how much im looking at?

Need some advice on what happened to my mk2 VR today. I dont drive the VR in the winter, its parked up. Its been 3 weeks since i haven't fired it up. I relised that there was no water in the resivoir tank, i assumed that might have leaked out of 1 of the pipes. So i topped it up. Got the jump leads out and jump started it. Didn't sound to good and was running rough with a nocking sound. I quickly switched it off. The oil on the dip stick was grey/cream to my dissapoinment :-( Since iv had the car iv never put anti freeze because i dont drive it in the winter. I suppose this wrong? The water

I want a full service for my VR and i need to know what parts to buy. I know the basics........anything else recommended oil filter new oil spark plugs water coolant appreciate your help

My temperature control switch is faulty so iv got a switched supply from the battery. So the fan is constantly on when im driving. Just wanted to know if anyone else uses this method. Also how reliable are the fans, dont really want it to pack up whilst driving. The engine has done 93k with the original radiator fan.

Anyone have any information on VR lump in Rallye with working syncro. Whats it like to drive, handling, power output ect..... Cheers

Could someone please explain the differences between the 2. I know that the 2.9 lump had an extra 10 bhp. Also what mechanically parts are different?

Sunday is the day i will be heading up North for Edition 38. Im really upset because my car may not make it. During a local journey the car started to overheat 3-5 minutes later the water starting leaking from the side of the cap. I suppose this was due to high pressure also noticed the pipes were really hot. But i could not hear the radiator, surely at a high temp the radiatior should kick in.Could the radiator be the fault?

Anyone fitted a supersprint backbox on a mk2 vr? Iv got a custom made de-cat exhaust and thinking of changing to a supersprint. Dont really want it to sound too loud (chavy).
