hiya guys just thought i would share wiv u some of the pics ive taken over the time of rebuliding my vr STARTED OFF AS A 1.4 CL HAVE GONE FOR A LEXUS TWO STAGE RED WHICH SHOULD LOOK THE DOGS IN THE SUN LIGHT. THE ENGINE as u can see a sorry old lump for itself, ENGINE IN.. ENGINE OUT... GOT TOLD ENGINE WAS A RUNNER SO TOOK A CHANCE AND SO FOUND WE HAD BEEN TOLD LIES , SO AFTER ALL THIS I WAS STARTING TO THINK WHY HAVE I BOTHERED, AND HAD GOT TO THE POINT OF SCRAPING THE WHOLE PROJECT, BUT THEN THOUGHT ITS TOO LATE TO GO BACK SO ONWARDS AND UPWARDS, SO THOUGHT RIGHT THIS IS IT

right this is it am detailing my engine bay because my one of my bigend shells are worn, so thought while i had the engine out i may as well tidy it up a lil. so heres a couple pics of wot it looks like. am getting the car resprayed in lexus 3stage red and black in split colour thought i would touch up the block and box just to give it a new clean look. so with that in mind was wondering wot colour samco hoses should i go for???

right how easy is it to change the stem seals and do i have to take the head off to do it?

hiya guys am just after a point in the right direction, have just put my 2.9 vr lump in my mk3 and all is connected up, runs and idle is spot on, put sounds very knocky, thought this may have been down to the point the that the head was port and polished, so all was bone dry wen it went together left it to idle for a time and has got quieter but don't want to keep running it up if it is going to do long term damage, water is flowing fine tho bottom hose is getting warm but not as hot as top, thought i would add that point don't know if it makes a diff, tho do keep removing cap to release the a

am in the middle of doing an engine conversion 1.4 to 2.9vr, am looking at looms but am getting 2 lots of advice some people are saying i need the whole loom including headlights, some r saying just the engine loom so thought i would ask the people in the know??? please help lol

was havin a look in pvw the other day and seen a sexy set of dials on a mk3 golf they say there are obligatory premier dials. but have done a google search with no luck does any one here know a good place to start looking for dials and please dont say richbrook, thanks

right have just got off the phone to a breakers yard, asking if he had a vr6 gearbox,? straight forward and easy enough, and he said bout a 6speed tdi box will fit, is this true? or is this guy talking out his poop hole, cuz i think he is.

no ent really into bodykits like that, gonna keep the golf pretty much as it is mayb defuser for front n bk but not a bodykit. and go for more fast road and track.

yh true but seems the car is a project it ent no stress, but y spend a grand on a car the rip it to bits getting everything the way u want, i.e respray.engine mods,body work, i know people say y build wot u can buy but, this is my 2nd project car and had doubtiers on the last but now they have seen the end product they can see the bigger picture. this was my last project... may not av been vw, but is still my baby. and yes thats my old golf in the back ground before some a##hole stole it. thats y i av took this project on,
