Anyone here got one they dont want, or know of one for sale - ideally looking for a genuine VW or thule, but open to others. Cheers

  4. thanks steve, got a engine problem at the mo. cant wait to get it back running
  5. OK so ive tried 4 "garages" now to get a compression or headgasket test done - not 1 would do it for me, saying ill need to book it in sometime in a week or 2 :@ Ive now had to take the car off the road as it used almost all of its water/coolant in just over 2 hrs driving!!!!! ive checked the oil cap - still clean, checked the dipstick and although clean there seemed to be more oil than 4 days ago? The car hasnt overheated at all but the temp needle is flickering a bit, which i have never seen before. Im assuming that the headgasket has gone or is about to :-( but one "garage" told me that
  6. 17x10 sounds great. i was wondering if 17x10 wheels would fit under my rear arches, its had plenty of pull and rolling done so the 9s with et15 tuck under nicely. something for the future
  7. Im in Dudley mate, yes it was up in snowy scotland. Loved the car and was amazed when it came up for sale.
  8. the ZW1s are great wheels, but for me i love the wide look. and the 16"s allow you to go a little lower.
  9. my good, amazing work mate. looking at the pics the paint is immaculate and knowing how hard black is to get right the finish looks outstanding. Also in my opinion (for what its worth) the 2 tone satin/gloss bonnet is genius. great car!
  10. thanks for the replies guys. the wheels are Brock B1s 16"x9" et15 all round (spacers front). Tyres are Hankook Ventus S1 evo 215/35/16.
  11. thanks phil, yeah you probably seen it before the bonnet bra is to try and give it some protection, as its been my daily for the last 8 months or so im trying to limit the stone chips. rich
  12. i love it, im always suprised how many "normal" people say its to much - makes it even better.
  13. very, very good...........although not that true (wife version 1.0 currently scanning all running programs )
  14. I get between 18-22mpg around town depends on the traffic ,if the traffic is really bad i can watch the money burn away. :-| For instance it took over an hour and half to get to work one day last week and its only 13 mile- the trip meter told me i had averaged 13.9mpg that morning :-# its averaging 25mpg month in month out. rich
  15. thanks both ive checked the passenger footwell and it doesnt look like its wet. im going to try and get a test done over the next couple of days although i have just found a small leak under the expansion bottle, but it doesnt look big enough to cause the problem i have. Thanks
  16. Hi guys im new to the forum as ive had my VR for only 8 months (and i havnt stopped smiling). Over the last few weeks it has been either using or losing water, to the point where the dash light warns me im out of water every 2-3 days! It doesnt seem to be over heating and the temp guage is normal. Ive got samco hoses thoughout and ive been checing them for leaks but i cant find one. Normally i would say i have a head gasket problem, but with no over heating or running problems im at bit stuck. Anyone out there had similar problems or has an idea what it could be ? thanks in advance Rich
  17. Hi Mate, cars looking good, hows the engine polishing going?
