  1. Interesting to stumble across this just now, as I noted this afternoon that my (recently acquired) VR6 has only one hose connected to the throttle body; some plonker has cut the other one off completely... and I can't see where it's meant to go and connect to. Of course the cut hose dribbles water on the throttle body butterfly shaft. The one that is connected goes to the coolant reservoir vent/return line. I'd like to know where the second hose is meant to go. My second question: what is there to be gained from disconnecting the coolant hoses from the throttle body? Reduce the intake charge t
  2. Hi all. I have read various threads on leaking VR6 heater cores and I'm afraid I too may be a victim of such adversity! I had a bit of a look under the dash tonight and noted a drop or two of unmistakable green coolant seeping through the maze of plastic shields and trim of the footwell roof. I guess this explains the regular presence of condensation forming on the inside of the windscreen above the dash! I'm more than happy and able to attack this thing myself, but would be grateful for any tips from any of you who have attempted to repair heater core leaks. Thanks a lot. Willem.
