  1. Had anyone fitted a v5 fbk gearbox to a vr6. Does it fit Ok and any advice would be appreciated
  2. Looks really good, i am also building a track car bought a vr6 2 weeks ago just started tidying it up ready. Going to try a taster session in it at the beginning of August at Brands. How much were the max sport tyres out of interest?
  3. I had a similar problem. I found a tiny pin hole in the water pipe that goes from the head to the water matrix through the firewall at the top of the engine. The hole was at the end of the pipe with a large bend in it near the engine head. It’s a common point of failure as it sits above the exhaust and perishes the pipe. The water falls straight on to the exhaust and causes you to see a lot of steam everywhere.
  4. BLEEDING THE CLUTCH SYSTEM Flushing or bleeding the clutch is the same procedure as bleeding the brakes. To flush the clutch, get a clear tube from your local auto parts store that fits around the bleeder valve (3/8" i think) it should be about 24" long or so. The bleeder valve is easy to get to through the top, it is located right next to / below the shifter weight ontop of the transaxle. Get some of the same brake fluid you use for your brakes, as both the clutch and brakes use the same fluid resevoir. remove the dust cap on the bleeder valve and place the clear tube over the valve (this
  5. Thanks for the reply The linkage all seems fine. I have found a DIY for bleeding the clutch system if anyone is interested. If this does not work l guess it could be the slave cylinder, master cylinder, cluctch or maybe the pressure plate? Does anyone have any experience of this problem? 6. I need some help, I can not get my vr to go into gear. I don't think it is the clutch as l have not noticed it slipping at all. To begin with it was just getting harder to put it in to gear especially when it was cold. Now l can not select a gear at all apart from l managed to get reverse before l have the engine started. I have been told it might be the clutch fluid needs replacing does anyone know where the reservor is for this. Does anyone have any ideaas or had a similar problme l would be very greatful! Thanks
  7. I will make the trip to Leicester if my car is street legal by then l am having problems with emissions on the old MOT test. Is there a convoy going up, think there will be a couple of VR's from Milton Keynes.
  8. I was up the pod at the weekend and weather was excellent and it was empty people were getting loads of runs for their money! As for chavs l thought that was the whole reason for going to the pod was to show them what a real car sounds like! Surely the queues are big at the spring fest? I will use the 1st as practise and fine tuning for the spring fest. No seepage at the pod please!
  9. RWYB is on at Santa Pod on the 1st April its £10 to get in and £10 to run your car for the day. The monthly meet is only round the corner, so we can head off after RWYB. Anyone else interested? Toby
