' show and shine ' there is going to be classes for this, 'water cooled' and 'air cooled' there will be throphies for best of each class, and furthest travelled of each class of those entered in
  18. as my £510 vr6 is a tad rough (not that bad though, still got 5 months mot and 5 months tax!!) ive run it for nearly 3 months now and after a misfire/splutter prob that ive sorted its fine, so its time to remove the towbar, rip out the interior and fit a lonesome bucket seat, ive got new disc's and pads im fitting this week and she's all ready lowered on spax shocks and springs, so as you can see im gonna turn her into a work hack (as only me) and trackday weapon, any one else using a vr6 as a track car?? yeah its only a obd1 model 93 but she goes well, so if i crash it as long as the engine
  19. cheers for that mate, had a look this morning, removed 167 and bridged it across, bingo pump ran and car would start have had a look at the relay and it looks like a new one theres no wear on the tips or anything, am gonna see if the coil its self switches the contact on side later when i hook it up to 12v dc, if it does then its ok, then i might have to look at what item (sensor/switch/ecu) gives the 12v supply to the relay when the fuel pump is required.... but for now until i get either a new relay if this one is a duffer at least i can run it
  20. as above, for a 93 obd1 golf vr6, took a few attempts to start, got me to work ok, took about 8 attempts to start at work but it did in the end, then as i unlocked my gate to park the car i turned it off, it started then as i was reversing in it spluttered/misfired then died, and wont start at all...... getting cheesed off with these elctrical gremlins!! can any one let me know aht numbers the relays are?? then i can check then 1st as i cant hear the fuel pump at all whilst im cranking it over which makes me think im not getting any juice?? thanks
  21. my 180k vr6 is sloppy 2... getting 3rd on swift motoring is proving a 1st/5th.. or sumtimes 3rd affair.... not that ive hit 1st yer at about 70 lol gonna check mine out tomorrow
  22. ill take a pic of the button for aircon and recycle, i think you might be right about aftermarket as the buttons are near the heated rear window switch area and dont blend in if you know what i mean, i think you can just make em out on the interior picture...??? might this explain why the wiring loom has no 'insulation tape' kind of cover hardly any where in the car or engine bay? or has the coating just rotted away or has it been plagued with leccy faults in the past and its been removed to aid finding probs?? ill take some pics of that too.. i wonder if it could have any thing to do with the
  23. yeah its a bit rough and ready, been there done that with mk2 gti 16v's (bowt 6 of em..) and spent thousands on my mk4 gti coil overs 18" wheels, arb's, and i could go on.... as stated its a wet weather car so nothing planned really other than decattin it... yup its got air con... is that a p1ss take question?? lol lol !! er its got a air con rad, compressor, all the other bits and when you switch it on it sups more petrol as well as blowin icecold air into the car.. lol !! you can see the insulated pipes near the rad, and the refridgerant cylinder...and if i was to clean the red/silver sticke
  24. thought its about time i post some pics of my wet weather car....(for the days when im not on my suzuki gsxr!!), 1993 k plate golf vr6, 180,000 miles, sunroof, aircon , full closure alarm, lowered on spax shocks and springs, new tyres all round, kenwood mp3/cd player, k&n 57i cone filter, ditry as you like engine, interior mint considering the mileage!!!(also has a stealth speed reducing towbar!! lol) all for the bargin ebay price of £510 !! not bad with 8 months mot and 1 months tax either!! havent got much planned, changing the plugs/leads/dizzy cap etc this week as had an intermitent m
