  1. No worries mate, it took me a few attempts but it was easy to do. Yes just keep an eye out for the keyfob as there are several different ones, pop up on fleebay all the time and sell cheap!!

  3. hi mark i got mine off ebay for 8 quid. Mine was a arrow not a clifford. Still easy tho. Turn ignition on You need to put the car in valet mode on the remote. Then press and hold the star button on the plain view switch (one inside the car) hold for about 3 seconds until u hear a chirp. then release. Then press and release the button in the car with no star u should hear 1 chirp. then press and release the button with the star. u should hear another chirp.   4. Hi everyone me again, its not my vr6 this time its my girlfriends mk4 y reg 2001. The indicators and hazards dont appear to be working. fuses r fine so i am guessing its the flasher unit. As the lights come on with the alarm. Anyone have any ideas where this is located on a mk4? Cheers, matt
  5. I had a concept 300 in my mk2. Do you have the two overide switches inside the car. What if you put it into valet mode? I programmed my own keyfob i mite still have this info on my pc will have a look.
  6. thanks for the replies. i ve taken it into a garage where its been all week. still no joy. The switch, immobilisor, starting motor and relay have all been ruled out. They are waiting for an auto electrician to take a look. Its still doing it intermittantly which makes it hard for them to test. Hopefully will have it back this weekend. Never had any trouble with my mk 2 or mk 4.
  7. Hi there, I am new to this forum. Just got rid of my mk2 golf gti and got a vr6. However it just seems to be causing me problems. When i bought it the guy said he thought there was a slight fault with the alarm immobilisor as sometimes you had to disable a couple of times before the car would start. So i had the alarm removed and a new immobilisor put in. The guys thought there was still a problem possibly the ignition switch. i was then able to start it by turning the key and pushing it up. Then there was nothing and i was stranded at work. So i got the ignition switch changed and all seemed
