    i have spoken to a friend of mine that works at europarts and he reckons they sell them and it is a common fault as they sell hundreds of them and they are around 80p im going down there tomoz so ill post back and let ya know fingers crossed lol

    wont i get away with just getting a new clip from vw? ive just had the mech out and it is the clip that has snapped. why put a plastic clip there it should be metal lol

    when i click the window up it stays still but when i click down it goes down could it be a plastic clip ive heard its common on the golfs

    Hiya ive got a 97 vr6 5 door and my rear drivers side window goes down fine but wont go up the motor is working fine but it just wont go up any ideas of a quick fix? please help lol

    i have the same problem right now and thank god for you boys and this site i was about to go out and buy 2 new rear shocks but reading this thread and then talking to vw im missing a washer that locks the circlip into place you have just saved me a lot of money thanks again boys
