    the cars only done 80k i had a look at the gearbox and found no where to top up?

    Oh no, i came out this morning and found a stream of oil under the car seems to have leaked from the bell housing thing between engine and gearbox. At first i thought it was engine oil so i checked dipstick and the level was just below max where it always stays, so i thought i would start car to see if i could pinpoint leak, no sign of leak anywhere so decided to drive up the road and to my horror the car will not move in any gear (auto box) so turned car off sharpish. took a close look at the oil and i think it maybe transmission fluid. Please someone let me know if i have killed the car / g

    hi devery my vr has just sprung a leak from the same area bell housing. Did you solve the problem?what was it and HOW MUCH am i looking at paying?

    well just got back from having top mounts/bearings and wheel allignmet done and my crunching/rubbing noise has gone. all in £130.mechanic said this is common problem when upgrading suspension.

    hi tonk i also have the gmax setup. and i also suffer from the driver side crunch when going over pot holes. I am riding on 17s but no sign of rubbing.i have had the kit on about 2 months and the crunch has got worse over time so i belive the problem is probably related to worn bushes/strut mount bearings. i got the car booked in garage to get suspension looked at. will see what they say.

    Hey Peeps i have just come back from my local mechanics, just had new rear discs pads and gearbox engine mount fitted. My car has an auto box, but when i slide the selector to D or below it has become very tight and i can hear a slight grinding sound like an overtight cable or something. Brought car straight back to see what they had done wrong. Mechanic says he hadnt done anything that could have caused it.He loosened engine mount but this made no difference. The car still drives fine so i may just have to suck it, just for peace of mind just like to know if the work he done could have caused

    Hi folks i hope someone can tell me how to diable my abs pump 96 golf obd2.When i drive at lowish speed and brake gently the abs pump kicks in on its own making a strnge noise and brake pedal vibrates. i had it vag comd and its def pump. I just need to know if there is a fuse or relay i can safely remove temporarily so i can drive the car to source a pump? Thanks

    hi m8 i have had this problem with mine also.Solution i found is to first test cable only in OPTIONS, when found then plug into car and test again (ignition on) then save.My cable only works on COM4.(if it comes back com port inaccessible unplug usb then plug back in then re-test) Hope this helps

    Hey caddyslammed Thanks for that info i have been putting off tackling this job for a while now. But after your response i think i,ll be down the stealers tomorrow to get the seals. hope they have em in stock.Cheers again mate

    Hi i need to replace my oil cooler rings also. Can you tell me what parts i might need to remove to get access to the cooler if any? and are there any potential problems i might have? cheers
