  1. I'm guna be changing the wheel on my VR soon, I understand from reading around that if I'm guna do the job properly I need a resistor to sort the airbag light out. Its been said that I can get them from awesome-gti but the posts are a good few years old now so does anyone know if they still sell them or if there is anywhere else I can get one from? I can't seem to find anything by searching t'internet.
  2. As the title says really... I'm having some FK coilovers fitted and have been advised by the garage to change the top mounts to uprated ones. Trouble is i dont know where to find them. Does anyone know where I can buy some for the front and rear? I have checked ebay and found some new standard spec ones but i'm after uprated ones. Any help would be great.
  3. Thanks for the advice guys, ill have a closer look but i dont think ill be doing it.
  4. In order to fit wheels with an ET of 13 i am considering having the standard hubs on my Mk3 VR6 redrilled so they have a PCD of 5/120 instead of 5/100 so that i do not have to use adaptors - which would reduce the ET to -7, thus making the wheels ALOT of work to fit. I was wondering if anyone here has gone down the same road or if anyone has any advice on the subject?? Would re-drilling the hubs weaken them at all?? as in, would the hub having 10 holes instead of 5 make it weaker in any way??
  5. So, what kind of adaptors etc. would I need to make those wheels fit?? My car is currenly having some other mechanical work done but there is a bodyshop right next to the garage i'm using so i'll get an estimate from them, but other than flaring the arches, is it just adaptors i'm guna need??
  6. OK, thanks for that. Any idea on how much it costs to get wheels of that size to fit though??
  7. Well heres the ones I have my eyes on... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=230266620730&_trksid=p2759.l1259 ...but if its guna cost silly money to make them fit then i'll look at others, but thats the style i'm after at least. As far as ride height, it's standard at the moment but coilovers will be fitted and the car will be lowered as low as possible to suit the wheels, so i'll be getting the wheels first.
  8. As the title says. I've tried to read through all the previous topics/posts but theres so much info i can't come to a definite yes or no answer lol!! I'm finally in the process of overhauling my very much standard VR and want to fit a wide, dished wheel, preferably bbs style and in a 16'', I've found a few sets I like but before investing I want to know what will and won't fit. The set I have my eyes on are 8,5x16 ET13, will these fit straight off?? if not, what kinda work am I looking at to make them fit?? what kind of stretch on the tires will I need to get the car as low as possible?? If th
  9. Looks lovely!! What wheels are they by the way??
  10. I reckon it looks pretty smart I wouldn't do the headlight conversion on mine tho. Any pics of the car as a whole?
  11. Looks like it just rolled out the factory!! Get wider wheels if you cant have spacers!!
