Removing the air con from the vr, have removed the compressor bolts but there doesn't appear to be enough space to get the unit out. Do I need to remove the radiator or is there an easier way? Cheers

How to remove steering wheel with airbag?
ColinT replied to Littleal_84's topic in Wheels, Brakes, Suspension and Steering
Safer to have the battery disconnected but I've done one without doing so with no issues. -
Would be over the moon with 200BHP+ Sent the ecu to Stealth (too far to take the car) and it's much livelier now, pulls strongly from 2500rpm and flies from 3 to 4k. Doesn't feel a lot stronger at the top end but will try and get it rr'd soon.

tonys on going project ... rebuild is on .....
ColinT replied to cabrioman's topic in Members Rides and Event Photos
I've just removed my sunroof and pop riveted an aluminium panel in it's place. Sunroof weighs 11.5kg. I've removed 115kg so far which is 18 stone. -
Hi guys Fitted a Schrick manifold to my VR today which was pretty easy due to the excellent guide on here Appears to be working ok, getting a green light on the control box, it's turning red as it's supposed to at high revs and the flap is opening. Car starts fine and runs smoothly. Took the car for a short run on a nearby B road and I'm a little disappointed in the difference. Definately feels a little livelier around 3k rpm but only slightly, I was expecting a shove in the back. Is this normal? Based on the tales I've heard about this manifold I was expecting more. Hoping to get Stealt

Now you're assuming I'm gonna move house but I'm not :-p

Where are you getting this information from? There's nothing on the DVLA site saying they're phasing out the old style, the European Directive covering driving licences just says they can't issue any more of the old style.

I've still got a paper licence and there's no requirement to change to the photo ID one.

I'd be interested depending where and when.

brake caliper upgrade
ColinT replied to joelounge's topic in Wheels, Brakes, Suspension and Steering
Thinking of doing this myself. Are TT calipers a straight fit? If so is the upgrade worth it? -
Cheers, I'll give it a try.

The rear (driver's side) window won't operate (it's half open). Won't respond to the console switch nor the switch on the rear door. All other windows open and close ok. Don't see a fuse listed for this. This surprises me! Any ideas? If I've to take the door panel off, how do I do this without breaking anything? Cheers
